Category 1 - Person who submitted the most geographically diverse number of butterfly records (as determined by the number of quarter degree grid squares covered).

Justin & Yolande Bode (record number 10398), for their record of Acraea horta (Garden acraea), showing a great example of partial melanism, an occasional finding in acraeas.
Second prize: "What's that butterfly?" signed by author Steve Woodhall
David Maphisa (record number 4407), for his record of Durbania amakosa sagittata (Amakoza rocksitter), which reflects a new colony of a very localised butterfly.
Third prize: "Garden Butterflies of South Africa" poster
Ralda & Louis Heyns (record number 7526), for their record of a Hesperiid sucking the body juices of a dead Mylothris agathina agathina (Common dotted border).
