Diagnosis

No diagnosis of this species is presently available, although it is the only species to occur outside South Africa (where not found itself).

Habitat description

Standing and often temporary waters in open landscapes, open areas in forest or shaded by gallery forest. Usually with emergent and often aquatic vegetation. From 900 to 2800 m above sea level, but mostly between 1100 and 2100.
