Type locality: Ruwenzori, Uganda

Diagnosis

Male differs from Z. usambarica by (1) ranging from NW Tanzania, through C Kenya to Uganda and Ethiopia; (2) antehumeral stripes linear rather than triangular; (3) mes- and metepimeral pale stripes narrow rather than broad, with space between them 2-3x as wide as each stripe. Habitat description

Streams and standing waters shaded by or in open areas in forest. Especially pools in stream beds, often with emergent vegetation, coarse detritus and/or probably blackwater and overhanging branches. Inferred to occur from 800 to 3800 m above sea level, but mostly between 1100 and 2100.
