Chlorocypha curta (Hagen in Selys, 1853)
Blue-tipped Jewel
Type locality: Guinea, no locality data available.
Diagnosis
Male is similar to C. cancellata and C. helenae by the blue terminal Abd segments, in sharp contrast with the basal segments. However, differs by (1) antehumeral stripe dorsally invaded by black peninsula, often splicing stripe into 2 branches; (2) tibiae white anteriorly, rather than all black; (3) basal segments bright red with only small (sub)apical black markings.
